Japanese Visa Application: Invitation Letters

Important information regarding Visa Invitation Letters (please read):

  • Besides the Visa Application Form that you should fill out on your own, you will also need an official invitation letter from us for your application. Please send us an email request for such an invitation letter along with the required information listed below.
  • Requests for visa invitation letters will be processed and the original will be sent complimentary through airmail. As this is likely to take some time, we ask you to please send us your requests along with the necessary information as soon as possible. Upon receipt of your invitation letter, you can submit it to your visa application center together with all the other documents.
  • Your name must be listed exactly as it appears on your passport. Any differences between the name on your passport and the name on your invitation letter or other documentation could lead to a delay and/or denial of your visa.
  • Please note that each individual requesting such invitation letters must provide us with the following required information. This includes accompanying people and children, if they intend to visit together with you.

Please provide us with all the required information completely and to the best of your ability:

  1. Place of application for Japanese visa: Embassy or Consulate General?
  2. Country of Citizenship
  3. Occupation: current position, company name, company phone number and work address, with the postal code included.
  4. Full Name. Your name must be listed exactly as it appears on your passport.
  5. Sex: Male or Female?
  6. Number of people traveling with you
  7. Birth Date in the format: (year of birth/month of birth/day of birth)
  8. Age
  9. Home address (including postal code)
  10. Your travel schedule (arrival-departure dates), your hotel name, address and telephone number
